Oklahoma native Matt Payne has an impressive list of credits and achievements across a multitude of creative businesses. During a 15-year stint in Los Angeles, Emmy award-nominated Payne wrote on such hit series as “Vegas,” “Defenders,” and “Memphis Beat,” and served on the production teams of “24” and “Without a Trace.” Upon his return to his home state, he produced the award-winning three-part television series, “Mosaic Oklahoma” and most recently produced and directed the hit documentary “Storm Chasers,” as part of Oklahoma’s Own Originals. He was a 2018 Emmy nominee for the OETA Foundation project “Rare.” Additionally, the adventurous Payne is the Travel Editor of 405 Magazine and is an award-winning writer and photographer who traveled the world covering stories for National Geographic Traveler, Travel Age West, Explorer Magazine and many other travel publications. He graduated with a degree in film from Oklahoma City University where he also served three years as an adjunct professor. Currently, Payne is working to advance the streaming, television, and motion picture industry in Oklahoma.
