Event Photography & Workflow

Event photography is an exciting genre in the photography industry. The are several challenges involved in shooting events, as it produces a high volume of photos. The sorting and data management is a tremendous job. It requires efficient data management - and a good workflow to get the images from your camera to the contestant/client. The process from camera to online gallery is critical for maximum sales, as well as keeping producers and the client happy with your process. I have spent years creating a workflow that gets images online quickly and efficiently sorted by the rider/contestant name.

Traci Davenport

Traci Davenport began her photography journey in a high school journalism class. Her interested quickly gravitated towards capturing images of school happenings and friends. As an adult, her passion became her daughter's high school soccer career.   Event photography was born from the natural progression of showing her own horses.  That began her career in Equine Event Photography.  Traci has been honored to capture some of the top events in the barrel racing, reining as well as cow horse industries.  BBR World, Ardmore Barrel Futurity, OKC Barrel futurity as well as NRHA Futurity, NRHA Derby and the NRHA Ride and Slide, Louisiana Class to name a few.  These opportunities also inspired a new drive to create a custom software BIP Bulk Image Processor  (https://www.mybip.org/) for event photographers. This software helps photographers in processing large volumes of photos at these events. It streamlines the process and saves time for the photographer.
